A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT ‘‘CURATIVE AFFAIR’’

                Turkestan High Medical College, located in the center of the Turkestan city, is considered one of the most prominent secondary educational institutions in the country.

                In the 1965-1966 academic year, the Admissions Committee received 210 applicants on specialties «Curative affair» and «Nursing affair».

From 1971 to 1981 the head of the Department of «Curative affair»was Aburaimov Kahar Zhansitovich, 1982-1994. Tadjimetova Barno Husankyzy, 2000-2002 Kulanali Darbozuly Mukhambetov, in 2002-2015 was headed by Zholdybaeva Anar Malykovna.

                Due to the increase in the number of students studying in the 2011-2012 academic year, the Department of "Curative affair" was divided into two courses and the II course was headed by Akhmetova Gulnar Tolegenkyzy.

                Since 2012, Akhmetova Gulnar Tulegenovna has been heading the Department of Pathology of Pregnant Women of the Talgat Clinic, and since 2012-2013 has been heading the Department of «Curative affair» byAbitaeva Saule Nuridinovna.

                Duration of study: 3 years and 10 months based on basic secondary education, 2 years and 10 months on the basis of general secondary education.

                Upon expiration of the term of training, the graduate will be awarded with a diploma of the middle "Curative affair" specialist with the qualification « Medical assistant»

                New approaches and methods of active learning in educational process are introduced.

                Students of the department take an active part in research work. The college has 39 subject disciplines and 8 sports sections in 2017-2018 academic year. Subjects of scientific research work are very relevant, have elements of professional activity, important for practical healthcare.

                In preparing «Medical assistant» specialists, doctors of the «Turkestan city central hospital», Turkestan city ambulance station, «Talgat» clinic, № 3 Perinatal center, IKTU clinic of K.A Yassawi, children's hospital of Turkestan, «Akmaral» hospital making a contribution. They are:Head of the Department of Therapy Musakhozhaeva K.M; Head of the Department of neurology Kosmuratova H. T; Head of the Department of Surgery Amanbayev M.A; Head Physician of the Emergency Medical Center Akhmetova D.S.

            In the qualification «Medical assistant» there are 24 rooms according to state standards, 13 study rooms, 5 simulation centers, 10 clinics, 1 monitoring room.

                Students of the department take an active part not only at the college level, but also in city cultural events and republican and regional competitions.

            Students of the department take part in college classes, debate clubs, student government, singing and young poetry circles, actively involved in social activities of the college and spend their free time.

                The department of «Curative affair»has a great many students and talented young people. There is a great potential for the college to become a future middle class specialist.
